Add a Comment to an Asset Record - Asset Inventory

Adding comments in NEXGEN is a useful way to add public notes to a record or alert other users to something using the tagging feature. See below for how to add a comment to an asset record on the Android tablet app.

Navigate to the Asset Inventory Module

To navigate to the Asset Inventory module:
  1. In the top left of the screen, tap the three line icon to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap Asset Inventory.

Add a Comment to an Asset Record

To add a comment to an asset record:
  1. Navigate to the Asset Inventory module.
  2. Locate and select an asset to open its record.
  3. Make sure you are on the Info tab.
  4. Tap the Comment box to the right and type out your message.
    1. You can tag a user by typing @, searching for their name, and selecting them from the drop-down menu that appears.
  5. Tap Comment to publish your comment.
