Delete an Asset - Asset Inventory
You can delete an asset if you no longer need its record within NEXGEN. See below for instructions on how to do so.
Note: Deleting an asset removes it entirely from the system. We recommend that you avoid doing so in order to prevent gaps in your site's historical data. If needed, you can mark the asset as inactive, instead; this keeps the asset's historical data without leaving it active in the system.
Navigate to the Asset Inventory Module
To navigate to the Asset Inventory:
- In the top left, tap the three line icon to open the navigation menu.
- Tap Asset Inventory.
Delete an Asset
Note: You might not see the option to delete the asset if you do not have permission to delete assets in the system. In this case, reach out to your system administrator for assistance with completing this task.
To delete an asset from the system:
- Navigate to the Asset Inventory module.
- Locate and select an asset to open its record.
- Tap the three dot icon in the top right.
- Tap on Delete Asset.
- Tap Ok in the pop-up to confirm.
