Create Inspections for Backflow Devices to Update Next Due Date

Note: Follow these steps if you are creating Inspections within NEXGEN for the Backflow devices to update the Next Due Date

  1. Go to Assets > Backflow
  2. Click on an existing Backflow Asset
  3. In the Inspection zone, click on + Add

  4. Select an Inspection Type
  5. Click on + Add
  6. Fill in all mandatory fields (marked by red asterisks)
  7. At bottom of page, change Assembly Status to Passed

  8. Click Save
  9. Change the status to Close by clicking on Close button (this is what will trigger the next due date to update)
  10. The Close button will now be highlighted to show that the Status change was successful

  • If Passed, then Passed will be checked and Next Due Date will update based on frequency set for that Asset.
  • If Failed, then Passed will not be checked and Next Due Date will not update until the Asset has passed the inspection. The Next Due Date will update based on the Current Due Date, not the day the inspection form passed.
