Run a NEXGEN Query

NEXGEN Queries search GIS assets that are synced within NEXGEN based on NEXGEN parameters. You can can also run a query based on GIS parameters by running a GIS Query. Visit our article Run a GIS Query to learn more.

Run a NEXGEN Query

  1. Navigate to the GIS module. Click Assets > GIS.
  2. Click the magnifying glass icon on the left side menu. Screen_Shot_2020-10-05_at_11.09.48_AM.png
  3. Under the NEXGEN Query dropdown, select a query type.
  4. Select layer(s) and fill in other desired filtering details. Screen_Shot_2020-10-05_at_11.10.51_AM.png
  5. Click Display to view assets meeting the filter criteria on the map. Note - Click Save Query to add the query to your Saved Queries list. 
  6. Assets that meet the filter criteria will be highlighted on the map and listed in the right side menu. Remove any unwanted assets from the selection by clicking the - sign icon. Screen_Shot_2020-10-05_at_11.17.12_AM.png
  7. From here, you have options to:

Create a new work order, a preventive maintenance, condition assessments, or inspections for the selected assets.

Note - work orders and preventive maintenance will have all assets attached to one record whereas condition assessments and inspections will have one asset attached per record.  

  1. Click Add New
  2. Select Work Order, Preventive Maintenance, New Condition Assessment, or New Inspection.
  3. Fill out the work order or preventive maintenance details and click Save OR select the assessment or inspection type and click Add

Add the selected assets to an existing work order or preventive maintenance. 

  1. Click Add to Existing
  2. Select Work Order or Preventive Maintenance.
  3. Fill out the work order or preventive maintenance details.
  4. Click Save.

Save the Query for future use.

  1. Click Save Query. Screen_Shot_2020-10-05_at_11.29.04_AM.png
  2. Give the query a name. 
  3. Click Save Query.
  4. The saved query will show up under the Saved Query list on the left side menu.
