Import Cycle Count Data from Excel - Warehouse Inventory

You can use the new data import tool in the Cycle Count module to bulk upload data on cycle counts via an Excel sheet. Follow the instructions below to do so.

Navigate to the Cycle Count Module

To navigate to the Cycle Count module:
  1. Click Warehouse in the blue sidebar to the left.
  2. Click Cycle Count.

Import Cycle Count Data from Excel

To import cycle count data using the data import tool:
  1. Navigate to the Cycle Count module.
  2. In the top left, click the drop-down arrow next to +New Cycle Count.
  3. Click Import Data from Excel.
  4. The data import tool will open. Select a warehouse using the hierarchy tree to the left.
  5. Click Download Template.
  6. Open the template you downloaded. This will take you away from NEXGEN and into Microsoft Excel.
  7. Review the ReadMe sheet, then enter the data you want to import into the spreadsheet.
  8. Save the spreadsheet.
  9. Return to the NEXGEN data import tool and click Upload Data.
  10. Upload the template you edited.
    1. Click Choose File.
    2. Click Upload.
  11. Review the data NEXGEN displays. This will be the data that is pulled into NEXGEN from the file.
  12. Click Import to confirm your data upload. The cycle count data will now be visible in NEXGEN.
