Drawing and Text Tools in the GIS Module
Learn how to use various drawing tools and text tool to mark up the map. This could come in handy if you need to mark a change in an asset's location, mark the position of a new asset, or making any other map annotations. You can then easily print or download the map for easy file sharing. Visit our article Download or Print the Map to learn more.
- Navigate to the GIS module. Click Assets > GIS.
- Use the Rectangle Tool to draw a rectangle. Click the rectangle tool and then click and drag on the map to form a rectangle.
- Use the Ellipse Tool to draw an ellipse shape. Click the ellipse tool and then click and drag on the map to form an ellipse.
- Use the Arrow Tool to draw an arrow. Click the arrow tool and then click and drag on the map to form an arrow.
- Use the Text Tool to write text on the map. Click the text tool and then click to create a text box on the map. Double click within the text box and type desired text. Adjust the size of the box to adjust the text size. Change the alignment or color using the menu, if desired.
