Create an Offline Mode Sync Schedule - iPad

Caching data for offline mode is a great way to improve offline mode performance and allow for the addition of assets and warehouse items when working offline. To make this process more convenient, NEXGEN offers a sync schedule feature so that you can schedule data to be cached in advance. For details, see below.

Note: Due to the manufacturer's design, the iPad requires that it is plugged in at the time of sync in order for the sync to work. Ensure your iPad is plugged in to guarantee a successful sync.

Create a Sync Schedule

To create a sync schedule on the iPad:
  1. Tap on the NEXGEN Hot Spot.
  2. Tap on Cache Data.
  3. Select the data you would like to sync, then tap Sync Now.
  4. Exit the pop-up and reopen it by tapping on Cache Data.
  5. Tap Sync Schedule in the top right.
  6. Fill out the Schedule field.
    1. Tap Schedule and select Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Once.
  7. Fill out the Time field.
    1. Tap Time, select the appropriate time, and tap Done.
  8. The Sync Schedule button will update to show the schedule type and time you have set. If edits are needed, tap on this and repeat steps 6 and 7.
