Create a Linked Work Order from a Service Request - Service Request

You can create a linked work order from a service request record in NEXGEN to carry over some original information from that SR record to the WO. This is useful if, for example, you are investigating a service request and find that work needs to be done. See the instructions below for how to create a linked WO from an SR.

Navigate to the Service Request Module

To navigate to the Service Request module:
  1. In the top left of the screen, tap on the three line icon to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap Service Request.

Create a Linked Work Order from a Service Request Record

To create a new linked work order from a service request record:
  1. Navigate to the Service Request module.
  2. Locate and select a service request to open its record.
  3. In the top right of the record, tap the three dot icon.
  4. Tap Create Work Order.
  5. Tap Ok in the pop-up to confirm.
  6. Fill in the work order details.
    1. Some information will already be populated from the service request.
  7. Tap Save.
Note: Once the WO is created, the SR will be put into the status WO in Progress and will be unable to be edited. The SR will automatically close when the WO that is linked to it is closed.
