Add a Resource to a Service Request - Service Request
Adding time in NEXGEN is done by adding the names of any employees or equipment who worked on the service request to the Resource tab. This feature is used to log labor time on records for job costing purposes. To learn how to add resources to a service request, see the steps below.
Navigate to the Service Request Module
To navigate to the Service Request module:
- In the top left of the screen, tap the three line icon to open the navigation menu.
- Tap Service Request.
Add a Resource to a Service Request
To add a resource to a service request:
- Navigate to the Service Request module.
- Search for and tap on a service request to open its record.
- Tap on the Resource tab.
- Tap on +Resource.
- To add an employee:
- Tap on the Resource Name field and select a name from the menu.
- Add the date and time, pay type, hours, and hour cost.
- Tap Save.
- To add equipment:
- In the Add Resource pop-up, tap on the Equipment tab.
- Tap on the Resource Name field and select the equipment that was used from the menu.
- Add the date and time, pay type, hours, and hour cost.
- Tap Save.
Note: You can also add time from the Action menu. To do so, open a service request record, tap the three dot icon at the top right of the screen, and tap Add Resource.
