Add a Rating Guide to a Condition Assessment Field - Condition Assessment

Rating guides for condition assessment fields provide a reference to users filling out condition assessments so they have a clearer understanding of what constitutes which score. When rating guides are added, users will be able to reference these guides from the About Ratings button when filling out a condition assessment. We recommend adding rating guides to support the collection of the most accurate condition assessment data possible.

Add a Description for a CA Type Field

Adding a description for a rating is useful for providing additional instructions or context for a condition assessment field. You can also edit the name of the rating to better suit your organization's workflow.
  1. From the User Defined module, open a condition assessment type.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to an existing CA type field and select Edit.
  3. A slider will appear with a list of all possible scores that can be given. Click Edit next to one of the scores.
  4. Edit the description.
    1. You can also edit the rating name in the Name field, if needed. 
  5. Click Save.

Add a Reference Image to a CA Type Field

Adding a reference image to a CA type field gives users an idea of what constitutes each rating. Reference images can help users assess assets and provide a correct rating when they are inspecting an asset.
  1. From the User Defined module, open a condition assessment type.
  2. Click the drop-down next to an existing CA type field and select Edit.
  3. A slider will appear with a list of all possible scores that can be given. Click Edit next to one of the scores.
  4. Click +Add Image.
    1. If the +Add Image button is not visible, click Save to save the rating information and the +Add Image button should appear after clicking Edit again.
  5. Click Add File in the pop-up to upload an image(s) from your computer. Users can upload up to five images per CA type field.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click the Save button at the bottom right of the slider to save your CA Type changes.  You can also click Save under Images if you would like to save and continue with editing additional CA type fields.

How Users See Rating Guides on Condition Assessments

When filling out a condition assessment, users, will be able to see reference images and rating descriptions by clicking About Ratings when entering scores for a CA type field.
