Add a New SR Type - Lookups

Service request types can be configured in Lookups so that the Type drop-down field can be populated in NEXGEN. This is useful for categorizing your service requests and making sure you know what the service request might entail at a glance. Adding new service request types is also relevant if you want to configure external mapping for NEXGEN 311 Portal service requests. For more on NEXGEN's 311 Portal external mapping, see this article.

Navigate to the Lookups Module

To navigate to the Lookups module:
  1. From the NEXGEN dashboard, click "Settings."

    2. Click a top level department to add this SR type to all service requests under that department.
    3. Continue drilling down to a division if you would only like your new SR type to apply to service requests assigned to that division.
