View & Add Attachments to Asset

Attachments can be added to assets in the form of pictures, websites, and files. This is a good way to store asset-specific information such as O&M manuals.

View Existing Attachments

  1. Open an asset record. 
  2. Scroll to the Attachments zone.
  3. Click the attachment hyperlink to view (pictures) or download an attachment. 
  4. Or, click the dropdown arrow on the attachment and select View or Download.

Add an Attachment

  1. Click + Add on the attachment zone of an asset record. 
  2. Choose what type of attachment you want to add: a file from your computer, a URL address from the web, or add from your NEXGEN library. 

 

Add a File from Your Computer

  1. Choose the file.
  2. Add a description.
  3. Select a category, and click Save

Add a URL Address

  1. Copy and paste the URL address into the URL field.
  2. Add a website name.
  3. Add a description.
  4. Select a category.
  5. Click Attach Link

Add an Attachment from the NEXGEN Document Library

  1. Locate the file in the document library by searching or filtering by module.
  2. Select the file.
  3. Click Attach.

Delete an Attachment

  1. Click the attachment hyperlink to view (pictures) or download an attachment. 
  2. Or, click the dropdown arrow on the attachment and select Delete.
