Import Contractor Data

Import Contractor Data

  1. Go to Settings > Data Import
  2. Click on Vendor from the list of modules
  3. Click Download Template
  4. The spreadsheet columns are the following and pertains to the fields in Nexgen
    • VendorNumber (only will show when Auto Number is off) - Contractor Number
    • IsActive - Active Checkbox
    • ContactFirstName - Contact First Name
    • ContactLastName - Contact Last Name
    • Comments - Comments
    • Address1 - Address 1
    • Address 2 - Address 2
    • County - County
    • Zip - Zip
    • Phone1 - Phone 1
    • Phone2 - Phone 2
    • Fax - Fax
    • Email - Email
    • City - City
    • State - State
    • Country - Country
    • Regular - Regular Rates
    • Overtime - Overtime Rates
    • Type - Vendor or Contractor (do not need to fill out)
  5. Go back to Data Import tool in Nexgen
  6. Click on Contractor
  7. Click Upload Data
  8. If the data on the screen looks like the way you want it, then click Import Data
  9. If any errors, then click on Download Error Data to Excel
  10. Fix the issues on the spreadsheet and re-import the file
  11. Check in Contractor module to make sure the Contractor(s) imported are showing in the module
