Set Session Time Out in Company Options - Company Options

Session time out kicks out logged in users after a set amount of time when idle as an extra security precaution for your site. This is useful for when an organization uses shared devices and wants to minimize the possibility of another user accidentally using a person's logged in account.

AlertNote: This setting is not being used, but is available on a user-by-user basis. Set session time out by visiting Settings > User > User's record > Session Time Out.

Set Session Time Out in Company Options

  1. Go to Settings > Setup > Company Options > General.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter the Session Time Out (minutes) value.
  4. Click Save.
Now, logged in users will be kicked after the number of minutes set in the Session Time Out field if they are idle.
