Change the Default SR Problem Area - Company Options

NEXGEN users can create a new service request in the Service Request module by using either an address, an asset, a location, or coordinates. By default, new service requests will be set to ask for a location, but if you are a system administrator, you can make the default method one of the other ones listed. This is useful if, for example, your organization typically relies on creating service requests by asset and wants to avoid extra clicks. See below for instructions on how to change the default SR problem area for your site.

Navigate to the Company Options

To navigate to the Company Options:
  1. From the NEXGEN dashboard, click Settings in the blue sidebar to the left.
  2. Click Setup.
  3. Click Company Options.

Change the Default SR Problem Area

To change the default SR problem area:
  1. Navigate to the Company Options.
  2. Look to the Domain tabs to the left. Click Service Request under the domain you would like to configure.
  3. In the top right of the module, click Edit.
  4. Click the drop-down labeled Default SR Problem Area.
  5. Select a problem area type.
  6. Click Save in the top right to confirm your selection.
