Assign a Shift to an Employee - Employee
Shifts that are created in Lookups can be assigned to employees within the Employee module. In the module, shifts can be assigned on an individual or group basis within the employee record or with Multiple Edit, respectfully. Users interested in using NEXGEN's Scheduler module Calender view should ensure Shifts are configured in their system and associated with Employee records.
Navigate to the Employee Module
To navigate to the Employee module:
- Click Resource in the blue sidebar.
- Click Employee.
Assign a Shift to a Single Employee
To assign a shift to a single employee via their employee record:
- Navigate to the Employee module.
- Open the record of the employee you'd like to assign a shift to.
- Click Edit in the header of the top zone.
- Click the Shift drop-down and select a shift to assign it to the employee.
- Click Save.
Assign a Shift to Multiple Employees with Multiple Edit
You can use Multiple Edit to mass assign a shift to employees. To do this:
Navigate to the Employee module.
- Use the checkboxes to select the employees you'd like to assign a shift to.
- You can filter your employee list using the filtering tools to only see relevant employees.
- Click the Multiple Edit button that appears in the top right.
- Use the Shift drop-down to assign a shift.
- Click Save.
