Assign a Priority to Service Request Type

Assign a Priority to Service Request Type

Administrators can assign a priority to service request types. By doing so, the priority field will be auto-filled when a type is selected when creating a service request.  This feature saves users time from having to assign the priority manually when creating a service request. It also improves consistency across an organization by standardizing priorities according to types.

  1. Click Settings > Setup > Lookups.
  2. Select Service Request > SR Type.
  3. To find an existing SR type, expand the department and select the division. Types will populate on the right side of the screen. Click the dropdown arrow on the type and select Edit
  4. Or, create a new SR Type by clicking + Add on the right hand side of the screen.
  5. Choose a priority in the Priority dropdown field.
  6. Click Save.
