Why can't I delete this PM WO?

Work Orders that are fired from a PM cannot be deleted from the system. They can only be canceled due to NEXGEN compliance rules.  If a PM WO is accidentally created, our team recommends canceling the WO and leaving a comment in the WO itself.

What is the difference between Quick Add and Work Order Templates?

NEXGEN's Quick Add feature and Work Order templates are two options available to you when creating work orders. Refer to the graphic below for information on each.

How do I create a work order template?

Templates for work orders can be created in the Preventive Maintenance module. For detailed instructions about how to create work order templates, see this article: Create a Work Order Template - Work Order

What is the difference between Complete and Close?

Complete and Close are two NEXGEN standard statuses. Typically, users mark a work order as Complete when the main task on the work order is complete, when asset maintenance has concluded, or when any issues have been resolved. Due to organization decisions, supervisory needs, or documentation requirements, organizations may choose to have some staff members Complete work and have different team members Close work. If a work order is marked as Closed, the work order enters a view only state and becomes archived in the NEXGEN system. The WO can still be found through searching/filtering but can only be Re-opened by users with the specific permission.
This is currently now a functionality within the system. If you accidentally linked a work order to a service request and want the link undone, submit a support ticket through the NEXGEN Help Portal or email support@nexgenam.com.
