Search for Items - Warehouse Inventory

Within our warehouse module, there are multiple ways to search and find an item.

Search Overview

Search Sidebar

Click the three line icon in the top left to view the sidebar. This is where you can search and filter for items within the Warehouse Inventory module.
  1. Click "Reset" to reset your search.
  2. Toggle the "Show All" option to see both active and inactive items.
  3. Toggle "Show in Store" to see items visible in the Store module.
  4. Toggle "Exact Match" to only show items that exactly match your search query.
  5. Click the drop-down list to select a searchable field.
  6. Use the search bar to enter your search query.
  7. Use the hierarchy tree and filters to filter for items.

Search for Stock Items

Search for Stock Items by Location

To search for items by location follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Tree" dropdown.
  4. Select the location you would like to view. Keep in mind that the location tree might have different sub-locations and you might have to click on the dropdown next to a location to view items within a sub-location. Clicking on the top level location will show all items within that location.
  5. When you have selected your desired location, the items in the selected location will populate on the viewing window.

Search for Stock Items by Category

To search for items by category follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Tree" dropdown.
  4. Click on "Category". 
  5. Keep in mind that the category tree might have different sub-categories and you might have to click on dropdown arrow next to a category to view sub-categories. Clicking on the top-level category will show all items within that category group.

Search for Stock Items by Name

To search for stock items by name, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Name" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item name into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by Number

To search for stock items by number, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Number" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item number into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by Description

To search for stock items by description, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Description" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item description into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass. Keep in mind that the description section for the stock item on record must match your description for the item to appear.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by Manufacturer

To search for stock items by manufacturer, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Manufacturer" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item manufacturer into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by Model Number

To search for stock items by model number, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Model Number" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item model number into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by QR Code

To search for stock items by QR code, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "QR Code" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item QR code into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Search for Stock Items by Vendor Part Number

To search for stock items by vendor part number, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click into "List" or "Grid" view from the top right corner of the screen. (To learn more about different views in the Warehouse Inventory click here.)
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. Select "Vendor Part Number" from the dropdown menu on the sidebar.
  5. Type the item vendor part number into the search bar below the dropdown menu and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active stock items.

Searching for Non-Stock Items

There are multiple ways to search for non-stock items by default you can search by item name, item number, description, manufacturer, and model number. To know how to search by each method, please look below.

Search for Non-Stock Items by Item Number

To search for non-stock items by item number, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click on "Non Stock List" on the top right hand side of the screen. You must be in the "Non Stock List" view in order to view non-stock items. (For more information on different warehouse model views click here).
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. On the side bar, select "Item Number" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the item number in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your non-stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active non-stock items.

Search for Non-Stock Items by Item Name

To search for non-stock items by name, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click on "Non Stock List" on the top right hand side of the screen. You must be in the "Non Stock List" view in order to view non-stock items. (For more information on different warehouse model views click here).
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. On the side bar, select "Item Name" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the item name in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your non-stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active non-stock items.

Search for Non-Stock Items by Description

To search for non-stock items by description, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click on "Non Stock List" on the top right hand side of the screen. You must be in the "Non Stock List" view in order to view non-stock items. (For more information on different warehouse model views click here).
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. On the side bar, select "Description" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the item description in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass. Keep in mind that the description section for the non-stock item on record must match your description for the item to appear.
  6. If your non-stock item has a searchable description, the item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your non-stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active non-stock items.

Search for Non-Stock Items by Manufacturer

To search for non-stock items by manufacturer, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click on "Non Stock List" on the top right hand side of the screen. You must be in the "Non Stock List" view in order to view non-stock items. (For more information on different warehouse model views click here).
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. On the side bar, select "Manufacturer" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the item manufacturer in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your non-stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active non-stock items.

Search for Non-Stock Item by Model Number

To search for non-stock items by model number, follow the steps below.
  1. Navigate to the Warehouse Inventory Module by hovering over the Warehouse icon on the left hand side of the screen and clicking on "Warehouse Inventory". 
  2. Click on "Non Stock List" on the top right hand side of the screen. You must be in the "Non Stock List" view in order to view non-stock items. (For more information on different warehouse model views click here).
  3. Make sure the sidebar is open and visible. If it is not click on the three gray bars on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. On the side bar, select "Model Number" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the item model number in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass.
  6. Your item should populate on the right hand side. If you cannot find your non-stock item, try selecting the "Show All" slider. Selecting the "Show All" slider will show inactive and active non-stock items.
