What is the difference between stock and non-stock items?

Stock items are items you keep on hand at your organization while non-stock items are items you don't have on hand. In NEXGEN, stock items are required to be tied to a location. In contrast, non-stock items are one-off items that do not have to be tied to a location. For more information, see the article Stock vs. Non-Stock Items - Warehouse Inventory.

Who can access the Store module?

To access the Store module, a user's user group must have the View and Add to Cart permissions for Store in order to check out items. The Search permission is also recommended if a user For a complete breakdown of Store module permissions please view the User Permission Definitions article.

Why can't I see all my items in the Store module?

To make sure items are visible in the Store module, you must first ensure the item record has the Show in Store flag selected. Then you must make sure the item location and all parent locations have Show in Store selected as well. At every location level, Show In Store must be turned on for items to be visible. How can I hide items from the Store module?

To hide an item from the Store module, navigate to the item record and uncheck the Show In Store flag. However, if you are planning on hiding an entire location/sublocation from your warehouse, you can uncheck the Show In Store flag from the location level. This will hide all items in that location from the Store module without having to uncheck the Show In Store flag from all item records.

How can I add pictures to the items in my store?

First, ensure that you've checked off the Show Item Image option in the Company Options module (Settings > Company Options > Images). This will enable images in the Warehouse Inventory module.

Following that, navigate to the item record you would like to add an image to and hover over the item image box in the top zone. Click on the blue plus sign that appears. This will allow you to attach an image to the item and have that image be visible in the Store module. 

How can I change the default picture for items in the Store module?

To change the default item image shown in the Store module, you have to navigate to the item record. In the Images zone, click the drop-down arrow next to the image and select Default.
