View or Create Work Orders Linked to Inspections

Work Orders can be generated from inspections, or vice versa, creating a linked relationship between the two records within NEXGEN. Once linked, it is easy to navigate back and forth between the inspection and work order record.

View Linked Work Orders

The Work Order Zone on an inspection record will display work orders that were created from this inspection or work orders from which this inspection was created. For each work order listed, you can view the number, date, task, type, status, and description. Click the work order number to open the work order record.

Detach a Linked Work Order

To detach a work order from the inspection,

  1. Click the dropdown arrow on the work order.
  2. Select Detach.

Create a New or Link an Existing Work Order

Create a new work order from this inspection

    1. Click + Add on the work order zone. 
    2. Fill out the work order details. 
    3. Click Save.

Link an existing work order

    1. Click the dropdown arrow next to + Add.

    3. Locate the work order by searching or filtering. 
    4. Select the work order by checking the box. 
    5. Click Attach. 
    6. Click Attach again to confirm.
