View & Create Work Orders for Asset

Within an asset record, view active and historical work orders for this asset. Learn how to create a new work order for this asset or add this asset to an existing work order.

View Existing Work Orders for an Asset

  1. Open an asset record and scroll to the Work Order zone.
  2. View existing work orders for this asset by MTD (month-to-date), YTD (year-to-date), or LTD (life-to-date). The total cost for each view will be shown at the bottom. You may need to scroll through multiple pages.Screen_Shot_2020-02-26_at_1.47.00_PM.png
  3. Filter work orders by clicking he funnel icon at the top of the column. Choose your operator and type the text to filter. To clear the filter, go back to the funnel icon and select ClearScreen_Shot_2020-02-26_at_1.48.50_PM.png
  4. To open a work order record, click the work order number.

Note - by default, all work orders for the parent and child assets are shown. Work orders for child assets are denoted with a building icon. To view work orders for parent asset only, enable "Show WO for Current Asset".

Create a New Work Order for an Asset

 

  1. To create a new work order for this asset, click + Add. Screen_Shot_2020-02-26_at_1.50.46_PM.png
  2. Fill out Work Order details and click Save.For more information on how to create a work order, visit our Create a New Work Order article.  

 

Add Asset to an Existing Work Order

  1. To add this asset to an existing work order, click the dropdown arrow and select + Add ExistingScreen_Shot_2020-02-26_at_1.50.32_PM.png
  2. Locate the work order by searching or filtering. 
  3. Select the correct work order.
  4. Click Attach to add to selection.
  5. Click Attach again to confirm selection.
