View & Create Preventive Maintenance (PM) for Asset
Preventive Maintenance (PMs) are routine maintenance activities occurring based on a set schedule determined by time (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) or meter readings. A PM will fire a work order when schedule parameters are met. View current Preventive Maintenance (PMs) associated with an asset. Create a new PM for this asset or add this asset to an existing PM.

View Preventive Maintenance for Asset
- Open an asset record and scroll to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) zone to view PMs associated with this asset.
- Filter PMs by clicking the funnel icon. Select an operator and type text to filter. To clear an existing filter, click the funnel icon again and select Clear.
Note - PM's for parent and child assets will be shown by default. The building icon indicates that the PM is for the child asset. To see PMs for the parent asset only, toggle the Show PM for current Asset button on.
Create a New PM for Asset
- To create a new PM for this asset, click + Add.
- Fill out PM details and click Save. For more information on how to create a new PM, visit our article Create a New Preventive Maintenance Record.
Add Asset to an Existing PM
- To add this asset to an existing PM, click the dropdown arrow and select + Add Existing.
- Locate the PM by scrolling or searching.
- Select the correct PM.
- Click Attach to add to selection.
- Click Attach again to confirm selection.
