Use Alternative Text in Column Fields - Ad Hoc Reports

If you would like certain fields in your ad hoc reports to be replaced with alternative text, you can add that alternative text in your report's data formatting settings. For example, if the Department column is populating with "Null" because your work order ad hoc report includes work orders that do not have a department assigned, you can change "Null" to say "Unassigned" instead. 

Navigate to the Performance Reports Module

To navigate to the Performance Reports module:
  1. From the NEXGEN dashboard, click Performance in the blue sidebar to the left.
  2. Click Performance Reports. 

Use Alternative Text in Column Fields of Ad Hoc Reports

You can enter alternative text for column fields in ad hoc reports. To do so: 
  1. Navigate to the Performance Reports module.
  2. Navigate to your ad hoc report and edit it by selecting "Design" from the dropdown field.

  3. Open the report part that you would like to make edits to by hovering over the top of the report part and select the "Switch to Configuration Mode" icon below.

  4. Select the field you would like to create alternative text for.
  5. On the right panel titled "Field Properties" scroll until you see "Alternative Text" and select the settings wheel.

  6. Add values as needed by clicking "Add Setting" or modify existing values by entering a value in the Alternative Text column. When you are ready select "OK".
  7. Your fields should now display alternative text.
