Using Selection Tools to Select Assets
- Navigate to the GIS module. Click Assets > GIS.
- Use one of the selection tools listed below.
Single Select
The single select tool allows you to select one asset.
- Select the single select tool from the toolbar.
- Select the asset on the map.
- The asset will be highlighted on the map and appear in the list on the right side menu. Click the "Assets" tab to pull out the side menu if not visible.
- Hover over the selected asset to view asset details such as number, name, location, class, and department/division.
- Click the "i" to open the asset record in the right side menu.
- Click "More" to open the asset record in the asset inventory module.
Multiple Select
The multiple select tool allows you to select more than one asset by individually selecting each asset.
- Select the multiple select tool from the tool bar.
- Select assets on the map.
- Selected assets will be highlighted on the map and appear in the list on the right side menu. Click the "Assets" tab to pull out the side menu if not visible.
- Hover over over a selected the asset to view asset details such as number, name, location, class, and department/division.
- Click the "i" to open the asset record in the right side menu.
- Click "More" to open the asset record in the asset inventory module.
Rectangle
The rectangle tool allows you to select all assets within a rectangular region.
- Select the rectangle tool from the tool bar.
- Draw a rectangle on the map surrounding the assets you would like selected.
- Selected assets will be highlighted on the map and appear in the list on the right side menu. Click the "Assets" tab to pull out the side menu if not visible.
- Hover over over a selected the asset to view asset details such as number, name, location, class, and department/division.
- Click the "i" to open the asset record in the right side menu.
- Click "More" to open the asset record in the asset inventory module.
Polygon
The polygon tool allows you to select all assets within a polygon shaped region.
- Select the polygon tool from the tool bar.
- Click to points on the map to form a polygon shape surrounding the assets you would like selected.
- Double click to finish your selection.
- Selected assets will be highlighted on the map and appear in the list on the right side menu. Click the "Assets" tab to pull out the side menu if not visible.
- Hover over over a selected the asset to view asset details such as number, name, location, class, and department/division.
- Click the "i" to open the asset record in the right side menu.
- Click "More" to open the asset record in the asset inventory module.
Clearing Selected Assets
Deleting a Single Asset from Selection
Use one of the following options to remove an asset from your selection.
- Click the - sign button on the asset in the ride side menu.
- After hovering over an asset, click the - sign button on the asset details pop up window.
Clearing All selected Assets
Use one of the following options to remove all assets from your selection.
- Click the Clear All button in the top right of the right side menu.
- Click the "x" tool on the toolbar.
