Find a specific asset by using NEXGEN's search capabilities. The default search criteria are number, name, description, address, and QR code. Additional search criteria can be enabled for asset UDF fields in NEXGEN.

Search for an Asset
Navigate to the Asset Inventory Module. Click Assets > Asset Inventory.
Select search criteria from the dropdown at the top part of the screen.
Type search text into the text box.
Either click Enter or click the magnifying glass icon.
Search Options:
Enable the "Show All" option to include inactive assets in your search. Inactive assets are hidden from list view by default.
Enable "Exact Match" to limit the search to exactly the text you've typed. Otherwise, the search results will bring up any results containing the text you typed.
NEXGEN Tip: You can add asset attributes (also known as asset UDFs) to your search criteria list. To do this, enable "Show in Search" when configuring the asset attribute. To learn how to configure asset attributes, visit our Asset Attributes article.
