NEXGEN Spring New Feature Webinar (Part 2: Cycle Count Updates and Upcoming Features)

Webinar Recording

Webinar Summary

In part two of this webinar series, we covered changes coming to Cycle Count, ABC Analysis, and gave a preview of the upcoming Workflow module. For details, see below.

New Features

Condition Assessments in the Contractor Portal

  1. The Contractor Portal UI on the Contractor Portal app has been updated to accommodate condition assessments.
    1. There are now icons next to assets on work orders to denote whether there is a condition assessment attached to that asset and whether it has been completed. We have also added a Pending graphic for pending condition assessments and inspections.
  2. You can scan assets from the Hot Spot to view a list of work orders that asset is attached to.

Cycle Count Updates

Cycle Count has been updated to include the following changes:
  1. Locked and Unlocked statuses for cycle counts have been replaced by NEXGEN's standard status system (i.e., New, Open, Complete, Close, etc.)
  2. Cycle Count numbers have been introduced.
  3. You can now create cycle counts either manually or by uploading them via the in-module data import tool.
  4. "Complete Cycle Count" has been changed to "Reconcile." Click the Reconcile button to record and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  5. We have added a data import tool so you can pull in cycle count information from an Excel template. Click the drop-down next to +New Cycle Count to access this template and tool.
  6. Cycle Count has been introduced to the NEXGEN tablet app. You can access the module via the Hot Spot.
    1. You can search for items via QR code, similar to searching for assets on a work order via QR code. You can mark the items as complete and add comments, if needed.

Upcoming Features

In addition to showing new features, we showed previews of planned software enhancements. Be on the look out for improved ABC analysis functionality as well as the brand new Workflow Automation module.
