Measure Distance on the GIS Map

Measure Distance on the GIS Map

Use the measuring tool to measure the real world distance between two points on the map. 

 

  1. Click the Measure Distance tool. Screen_Shot_2020-10-01_at_4.06.46_PM.png
  2. Click and hold on the desired starting point on the map. 
  3. While holding down the mouse, drag the pointer to the desired end point and let go.
  4. A popup appears that shows distance between the two points.
  5. Use the dropdown to select the units as miles, kilometers, meters or feet.
