Link and Unlink Assets - Asset Inventory

Assets can be linked to create a linear network. For example, pipelines can be linked to endpoints such as manholes. 

Link Assets 

To link assets together:
  1. Open an asset record.

    At the top of the screen, click the yellow left or right + buttons to link the asset to the left or right, respectively.
  3. Locate the asset to link by searching or filtering for them.
  4. Select the asset to link by clicking the checkbox.
  5. Click "Attach."

View or Navigate Between Linked Assets

To view or navigate between linked assets in the Asset Inventory module:

    Open the desired asset record.
  2. If assets are linked, this relationship will be visible at the top of the asset record.
    1. The asset record you are currently viewing is in the middle.
    2. Linked assets are listed to the left and right of this asset highlighted on yellow tabs.
  3. Click the tabs labeled with the linked asset names to move between them.

Unlink Assets

To unlink assets:
  1. Screen_Shot_2020-09-28_at_9.18.58_AM.png
    Open an asset record that has already been linked.
  2. At the top of the record, there will be yellow tabs denoting linked assets. Click the Delete button next to one to unlink it.
  3. Click "Ok" to confirm.
