Link Work Orders - Work Order

Linking work orders creates a relationship between two work orders which allows easy navigation between the linked work orders within NEXGEN. Additionally, this relationship will show up in reports. Linked work orders can be used in a variety of scenarios, such as handing off related work to another department or division.

Create a New Linked Work Order

To create a new linked work order:
  1. Open a work order record. 
  2. Scroll to the Linked Work Order zone.
  3. Click + New

Link an Existing Work Order

  1. Open a work order record.
  2. Scroll to the Linked Work Order zone.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow and select + Add Existing.Screen_Shot_2020-02-25_at_3.23.12_PM.png
  4. Select the work order you would like to link and click Attach.  Screen_Shot_2020-02-25_at_3.24.03_PM.png

Navigate Between Linked Work Orders

Easily navigate back and forth between the linked work orders by clicking the work order number in the Linked Work Order zone. The current work order you are viewing is highlighted yellow.

Detach a Linked Work Order

  1. Click the dropdown arrow on the work order you would like to unlink. 
  2. Click Detach
