Link Service Requests - Service Request
Linking service requests creates a relationship between two service requests that allows easy navigation between the linked service requests within NEXGEN. Additionally, this relationship will show up in reports. Organizations sometimes choose to link service requests when duplicate issues are reported by different customers.
Video Overview
Create a New Linked Service Request
- Click + New on the Linked Service Requests zone of a service request.
- Fill out the Service Request details. For more information on how to create a service request, visit our Create a New Service Request. Request article.
- Click Save.

Link an Existing Service Request
- Click the dropdown arrow to the right of the + New button on the Linked Service Requests zone of a service request.
- Select + Add Existing.
- Locate the service request by searching or filtering.
- Select the service request by checking the box.
- Click Attach.

View Linked Service Requests
Once linked, the service requests will appear in the Linked Service Request zone. The current service request is highlighted yellow. Click the SR Number of the other service request to open the linked service request record.

Unlink Service Requests
- Click the dropdown arrow on that service request in the Linked Service Requests zone.
- Select Detach.
