Major Update Highlights!!

Some of our major updates include:
  1. New multi-factor authentication option - NEXGEN Administrators and individual users now have the option to turn on MFA. Users can further secure their accounts to ensure only they have access.
  2. New Event PM feature - Users can now create event PMs that will allow them to fire multiple PMs at a time. Event PMs can be scheduled to fire independently of individual PM schedules. Users with the need to fire multiple PMs at a time can also choose to manually fire multiple PMs through the Event PM.
  3. New geofence option for PMs - Once created, users can adjust geofence parameters and resync assets within the geofence if new assets are added within the geofence area.
  4. New status breadcrumbs on inventory requisitions - Inventory Requisitions will now feature a breadcrumb status bar. System administrators will have the option of adding new statuses to inventory requisitions. End users will be able to change the status of inventory requisitions as they move through different stages of the requisition process.

Asset Inventory Module

  1. New "Reason" field for asset records - Users can now configure different values under the "Asset Reason" lookup to specify why an asset is active/inactive.

Inventory Requisition Module

  1. New status breadcrumbs on inventory requisitions - Inventory Requisitions will now feature a breadcrumb status bar. System administrators will have the option of adding new statuses to inventory requisitions. End users will be able to change the status of inventory requisitions as they move through different stages of the requisition process.
  2. New pick list function - End users will now be able to generate pick lists to facilitate the picking of items when fulfilling orders. Users can also verify a pick list and have picked quantities autofill into the picked column.
  3. New shipping feature - Inventory requisitions that need to be shipped and delivered outside of NEXGEN can now be tracked within our system. Shipping information including tracking numbers can now be stored within an inventory requisition record.
  4. New "Assigned to" field - Inventory requisitions will now have the option of being assigned to an employee or a department. Users will be able to receive notifications when assigned to a particular requisition.
  5. New "Copy Picked to Issue" slider - To help make the issuing process more efficient, clients now have the option to select a "Copy Picked to Issue" slider to autofill the issue column.
  6. New common "Issue" button - Users can now issue multiple items on an inventory requisition at a time instead of issuing items individually.
  7. New Approval Routes - Users can now specify approval hierarchy for Inventory Requisitions. Users can preset approval routes based on cost.
  8. Recipient and requestor information now separate - Clients can now specify who created an inventory requisition record within NEXGEN, an external party that has requested items, and a recipient for items. Recipient and requester information now also have their own panels within an inventory requisition record.

Preventive Maintenance Module

  1. New Event PM feature - Users can now create event PMs that will allow them to fire multiple PMs at a time. Event PMs can be scheduled to fire independently of individual PM schedules. Users with the need to fire multiple PMs at a time can also choose to manually fire multiple PMs through the Event PM.

Purchase Order Module

  1. New return and ship feature - Items can now be returned and shipped from the Purchase Order module. If items are received and need to be returned to vendors due to recalls and/or damaged merchandise, users can now track shipping information and adjust inventory quantities from the PO record.

Receiving Module

  1. New lots feature - When receiving items you now have the option to enter a lot number.
  2. Can now receive items in any location - Users can now specify what location they would like to receive items into from the receiving screen. 
Company Options
  1. New Multi-factor authentication option - NEXGEN Administrators and individual users now have the option to turn on MFA. Users can further secure their accounts to ensure only they have access. System administrators also have the option to enable MFA as a whole for all users. MFA will be available through SMS.
  2. New single sign on option through Azure AD - NEXGEN Administrators can now inquire about a single sing-on option through Azure AD.

Warehouse Inventory Module

  1. New flags on item records - Items as "Needs Approval", "Controlled Substance", and "Special Storage." The new flags allow for further control and oversight over unique item inventory needs.
  2. New hold feature for items - Items can now be placed on "Hold" within the NEXGEN system. Warehouse managers can easily ensure recalled and/or damaged items that are received are not distributed.
  3. New replacement items zone - Before this update, users could only link an item to one replacement item. Now, items can have more than one replacement item associated with it. Users still have the ability to associate an item with "Related Items" but users are now also able to associate multiple "Replacement Items" with an item record. 
  4. New lots option - Items that are received can now have lots associated with them. When you receive an item you can also add expiration dates for lot numbers to easily know which items need to be picked first.
  5. User defined fields now available for categories - Users can now add UDFs to items by category. If you'd like to easily collect information for items based on their category, you can now add custom fields.
  6. Non-Stock items now have images visible in list view - Users can use list view to see non-stock item images.
  7. Ability to relocate locations in Warehouse - Users can now drag and drop locations to new warehouse areas by turning on a "Relocate" flag.

Work Order Module

  1. New warranty expiration icons - Assets with warranty dates will now display a triangle warning sign when added to work orders. Once a warranty date has passed, assets will display a red clock icon to show the asset is past its warranty date.
