Enter an Item Quantity on Asset Record (Bill of Materials)

When attaching items to an asset, users can enter the quantity needed. Attaching items to assets enables users to easily attach this item to a work order if the asset is already attached. Entering the “quantity needed” of the item on the asset record automatically populates the estimated units of this item when adding the item to a work order. This saves the user time and ensures they estimate the correct number of units.

Enter an Item Quantity on an Asset Record

  1. Open an asset record.

To Attach New Items:

  1. Click + Attach Items.
  2. Select the correct item(s) from the warehouse inventory.
  3. Enter Quantity.
  4. Click Attach.

To Edit Quantity for Existing Item(s):

  1. Click the dropdown arrow on an asset.
  2. Click Edit

  3. Enter Quantity.
  4. Click Save.

Once quantities are entered on the asset record, the estimated units will automatically appear when adding this part to a work order. See picture below.
