Enter an Employee Date of Hire & Date of Departure
There is Date of Hire and Date of Departure field on every employee record for tracking purposes. If a departure date has past, the employee will automatically be made inactive.
- Navigate to the Employee module. Click Resource > Employee.
- Click Edit on the top zone.
- Enter a Date of Hire.
- If known, enter a Date of Departure.
- Click Save.
NEXGEN Tip: If entering a date far in the past (ie: Feburary 1, 1990), click the top of the calendar where it says the month and the year. This will show you the months in a given year. Click the year at the top to see years. Click the year range at the top to see year ranges. Then click the appropriate year range, year, month, and date. Alternatively, you can simply pick any date and then type the correct month, date, or year in manually.
