Dependent Schedules - PM

NEXGEN allows users to make schedules on a PM parent record to be dependent on each other. When schedules are dependent on each other, one will adjust when the other fires a PM WO. For example, if there are two dependent schedules on a fleet maintenance PM, one calling for an oil change every X miles and one calling for an oil change every Y months, linking the schedules together into a dependency makes it so that the next trigger numbers will update according to whichever schedule was met first.

Navigate to the Preventive Maintenance Module

To navigate to the Preventive Maintenance module:
  1. Click Maintenance in the blue sidebar to the left.
  2. Click Preventive Maintenance.

Make PM Schedules Dependent

To make PM schedules dependent on one another:
  1. Create or open a parent PM.
  2. Ensure that the parent PM has both a date and meter schedule attached.
    1. If you can't add a meter schedule, check to see that an asset is attached to the parent PM.
  3. In the Schedule zone, click the Dependent Schedules button.
  4. Using the drop-down menu in the pop-up, select a meter schedule to link to a date schedule.
  5. Click Save. A small triangle-shaped icon will appear next to each schedule to denote that they are dependent.
