NEXGEN Dashboard Overview

The NEXGEN dashboard is a convenient way to get a general sense of any assigned service requests and work orders. From the dashboard, users can also view system notifications and Department/Division filters.

Accessing the Dashboard

To access the dashboard, click the NEXGEN hotspot icon  on the top left of the screen. Regardless of where you are in your NEXGEN site, you will always be able to view the NEXGEN hotspot icon.

Dashboard Features

The Dashboard displays service request information on the left side of the screen and work order information on the right.



Service Request and Work Order Information

There are a number of different items featured on the dashboard including service request and work order information.



MY Service Requests: This shows service requests assigned to you, as well as the status of each request. Supervisors will also see SR information for team members they supervise listed in this top area.
MY Work Orders: This shows work orders assigned to you, as well as the status of each order. Supervisors will also see WO information for team members they supervise listed in this top area.
ALL Service Requests: This shows information related to service requests from across your entire organization.
ALL Work Orders: This shows information related to work orders from across your entire organization.

Directly underneath these panels are maps that you can use to view your service requests and work orders.



On the map, you can zoom in and out, pan around, and view basic information about each item by clicking on its associated pin. Clicking an SR or WO's number will take you to its respective page on the SR or WO modules for more detailed viewing; clicking "Take me there!" will bring you to its location on Google Maps.

Note: The pin colors on the web app's dashboard correspond to service request and work order priority. Colors are set up by your organization in the Lookups module. This note was added to contrast with the mobile devices, where the pin colors correspond to record status instead of priority.



At the bottom of the dashboard are graphs where you can view the age of your service requests and work orders. You can toggle whether the data shown is yours or your organization's by checking off the option you want in the upper right corners of each graph.



Filtering your Dashboard

You can filter what information is shown on your dashboard by using the toolbar at the top of the screen.



To filter by department, use the arrow located next to "Department." 

Other Features of the Dashboard

In addition to filter options, the dashboard toolbar also features several other items.

 User Profile: Click on your name to show a dropdown menu where you can view your profile, download apps, access your settings, or log out.
 Notification Center: Click on the bell to view your notifications for the work you've been assigned.
 Information: Click on the information icon to view a splash screen detailing new features and enhancements to NEXGEN's software. This is the same splash screen you see when you log in. If you hit "Don't show me" when logging in, you can always view the splash screen here.
