Create a Work Order from a Template - Work Order

Creating work order from a template saves the end user time because the user has less fields to fill in at the time of creating a work order. Work Order templates can be pre-loaded with checklists, notes, assets, resources, and more. Work Order templates can be created for particular work order tasks, departments, etc. For information on how to create work order templates, see the article Create a Work Order Template - Preventive Maintenance.

Create a Work Order from a Template

  1. Navigate to the work order module by clicking Maintenance > Work Order in the blue sidebar to the left.
  2. Click the dropdown to the on the +Add button.
  3. Select From Template.
    1. These templates are created in the Preventive Maintenance module. For more information, see the article Create a Work Order Template - Preventive Maintenance.
  4. Select the desired template from the list and click Ok.  
  5. Continue filling out the work order details as normal. All pre-filled information can be edited, if desired.
