Create or Add Assets to a Work Order from GIS

Select GIS assets from the map and create a new work order with those assets attached, or add the selected assets to an existing work order. First, learn how to select assets using one of our selection tools by visiting our article Select Asset on the Map

 

Create a New Work Order 

  1. Select desired asset(s). 
  2. Selected assets are listed in the right side menu. Confirm selection is correct. Delete any assets selected by mistake. If you are not seeing this menu, click the "Assets" tab on the right side of the screen to pull out the menu.
  3. Click Add New at the top of the right side menu.

  5. A work order will be generated with the selected asset(s) already attached in the Assets zone of the work order.
  6. Fill out the work order details and Save. For more information about how to create a work order, visit our article Create New Work Order

 

 

Add Assets to an Existing Work Order

  1. Select desired asset(s). 
  2. Selected assets are listed in the right side menu. Confirm selection is correct. Delete any assets selected by mistake. If you are not seeing this menu, click the "Assets" tab on the right side of the screen to pull out the menu.

  4. Select Work Order.
  5. Find the desired work order by searching or filtering. 
  6. Select the work order by checking the box. 
  7. Click Attach
  8. Click Attach again to confirm.
