Create a Work Order for a Work Order Asset

If you are working on an existing work order, you may have the need to create a work order for a different issue for one of the assets on the work order. Creating a work order from a work order asset will create a new work order with that asset already attached.

 

  1. Within the work order record, scroll to the Assets zone. 
  2. Click the dropdown arrow on the asset. 
  3. Select Work Order. Screen_Shot_2020-09-11_at_8.20.12_AM.png
  4. Fill out the work order details. Screen_Shot_2020-09-11_at_8.20.44_AM.png
  5. Click Save.

 

Note - the work order created from the asset will not automatically be linked to the existing work order. You must link the work orders through a separate process. Visit our  Link Work Orders article.
