Create a Work Order for a Work Order Asset
If you are working on an existing work order, you may have the need to create a work order for a different issue for one of the assets on the work order. Creating a work order from a work order asset will create a new work order with that asset already attached.
- Within the work order record, scroll to the Assets zone.
- Click the dropdown arrow on the asset.
- Select Work Order.
- Fill out the work order details.
- Click Save.
Note - the work order created from the asset will not automatically be linked to the existing work order. You must link the work orders through a separate process. Visit our Link Work Orders article.
