Configure Sub-Statuses - Inspection
Sub-statuses were introduced in NEXGEN as a way for supervisors to better understand and indicate the status of an inspection. New, Open, Hold, Cancel, Complete, and Close remain as unchangeable parent statuses, but sub-statuses provide better specificity regarding the exact state of a given inspection as it moves forward. These items appear anywhere this is a list view, grid view, bread crumb, or detail page and are configurable by NEXGEN users.
Navigating to Sub-Status Configuration
To navigate to status settings:
- Click "Settings" in the blue task bar to the left.
- Click "Setup."
- Click "Lookups."
- Click the drop-down arrow next to "Inspection" on the tree to the left.
- Click "Status."
Adding a Sub-Status
Adding a sub-status in Inspection can be done from Inspection's Status section of the Lookups module. To add a sub-status:
- Navigate to the Status settings for the Inspection module by following the steps in the section above.
- Click "+Add" to add a new sub-status.
- A menu will appear in which you enter to enter the information needed for your sub-status. Enter in:
- The sub-status name
- Which parent you would like to assign this sub-status to
- Whether or not you would like this sub-status active or visible
- A value for sort order
- An assigned color
- A value for the Initial field
- When finished, click "Save." The sub-status will appear on the list and reflect within the Inspection module if marked as Active.
- If you would like to edit the sub-status in the future, locate it in the Inspection Status list, click the drop-down arrow next to it, and click the Edit button.
