Configure Sub-Statuses for Forms - Lookups

Sub-statuses were introduced in NEXGEN as a way for supervisors to better understand and indicate the status of a form. New, Open, Hold, Cancel, Complete, and Close remain as unchangeable parent statuses, but sub-statuses provide better specificity regarding the exact state of a given inspection as it moves forward. These items appear anywhere this is a list view, grid view, bread crumb, or detail page and are configurable by NEXGEN users.

Navigate to Sub-Status Configuration

To navigate to status settings:
  1. Click Settings in the blue task bar to the left.
  2. Click Setup.
  3. Click Lookups.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow next to "Inspection" on the tree to the left.
  5. Click Status.

Create a New Sub-Status

Adding a sub-status in the Form module can be done from the Form > Status section of the Lookups module. To add a sub-status:
  1. Navigate to the Status settings for the Inspection module by following the steps in the section above.
  2. Click +Add to add a new sub-status.
  3. A menu will appear in which you enter to enter the information needed for your sub-status. Enter in:
    1. The sub-status name
    2. Which parent you would like to assign this sub-status to
    3. Whether or not you would like this sub-status active or visible
    4. A value for sort order
    5. An assigned color
    6. A value for the Initial field
  4. When finished, click Save. The sub-status will appear on the list and reflect within the Form module if marked as Active.
    1. If you would like to edit the sub-status in the future, locate it in the Form Status list, click the drop-down arrow next to it, and click the Edit button.
