Create New Non-Stock Item When Adding Items to a Work Order (iPad)

When adding a non-stock item on a work order, users can create a new non-stock item on the iPad. This is useful for field users who might not always know which items they need in advance. 


  1. Open a work order record.
  2. Click the Items tab.
  3. Click + Add.
  4. Click Non-Stock Items
  5. Click + Add
  6. Fill in the Item Name, Vendor, and Category.

  7. Click Save. The item should appear in the list of non-stock items.
  8. Tap the item from the list until a check mark appears.
  9. Tap the checkmark in the upper right hand corner to add the new non-stock item to the work order.
  10. Select Estimated or Actual Units and enter a Cost.
  11. Click Attach.
