Comments are a useful tool for employees to communicate important updates or information about various records in NEXGEN. Comments are visible to all users with View rights and can be used to communicate directly with users in the NEXGEN system. Users can view comments and receive notifications for comments from within the NEXGEN system as an email, text, or in-site notification.

Add a Comment to a Record
Click into the text box in the Comments zone.
Type your comment.
Click Comment.
Your comment will be added below stamped with your username and the date and time.
NEXGEN Tip: Tag another employee in your comment by starting the comment with @. Start typing the first or last name of the employee and then select from the list.
Edit or Delete an Existing Comment on a Work Order
Click the dropdown arrow on a comment.
Click Edit to edit the comment text. Edit the text in the box. Click Edit when done editing the text.
Click Delete to delete the comment from the work order.
Note: You will only be able to edit and delete your own comment unless you have the user permissions to edit and delete other comments.
